Conception of Divinity

A primary concern of Hermetic Qabalah is the nature of divinity, its conception of which is quite markedly different from that presented in monotheistic religions; in particular there is not the strict separation between divinity and man which is seen in monotheisms.[2] Hermetic Qabalah holds to the neoplatonic conception that the manifest universe, of which material creation is a part, arose as a series of emanations from the godhead.[3]

These emanations arise out of three preliminary states that are considered to precede manifestation. The first is a state of complete nullity, known as Ain (אין “nothing”); the second state, considered a “concentration” of Ain, is Ain Suph (אין סוף “without limit, infinite”); the third state, caused by a “movement” of Ain Suph, is Ain Suph Aur (אין סוף אור “limitless light”), and it is from this initial brilliance that the first emanation of creation originates.[4]

The emanations of creation arising from Ain Suph Aur are ten in number, and are called Sephiroth (סְפִירוֹת, singular Sephirah סְפִירָה, “enumeration”). These are conceptualised somewhat differently in Hermetic Qabbalah to the way they are in Jewish Kabbalah.[5] See Sephirot for the Jewish conceptualisation.

Ain(nothing)The personified principle of a desireless state or Shiva in Hinduism

Ain Suph(without limit, infinite) – the entire universe or the dream state of Vishnu

Ain Suph Aur(limitless light) – Brahma the creator

Following a pattern very similar to (and some suggest derived from) the Neoplatonists, the Medieval Jewish mystical tradition of Kabbalah developed the concept that the Universe is regarded as a series of emanations from the Godhead, namely, the 10 sephirot. It is said that God created the world using the sephirot, pouring Divinity into creation through these “vessels,” which also have personality traits. The highest sephirah, Keter, holds the most divine light and is the least accessible to humanity. The lowest sephirah, Malkhut, is still higher than matter itself, so the parallel with Neoplatonism is not complete, but Malkhut is considered that aspect of God that can be perceived in the material world. It is also known as the Shekhinah.

For the Kabbalist, God is a single oneness, not separate “gods.” The teaching avoids polytheism by insisting that the sephirot are not to be prayed to, but rather, to be meditated on and experienced as manifestations of how God acts in the world. They are envisioned as arranged in three columns, in a pattern called the Tree of Life. By meditating on the sephirot and praying for their unification, Kabbalists seek the theurgic goal of healing a shattered world.

For Kabbalists, the sephirot are as follows: Keter (Crown); Chochma (Wisdom); Binah (Understanding); Chesed (Loving kindness); Gevurah (Strength); Tiferet (Beauty); Netzach (Endurance); Hod (Glory); Yesod (Foundation); and Malkhut (Kingdom or Sovereignty).

Hinduism

—————-

Malkhut… Kingdom or Sovereignty…(Planet Engineering) First incarnation of Vishnu : Matsya or the Fish incarnation  : in this form Vishnu saved the Saint Vaivaswata, the hindu variety of the biblical Noah (or vice verse).

Yesod ….Foundation…(universal male & universal female forces, Devas and Asuras)Second incarnation of Vishnu : Kurma or the Turtle incarnation  : at the Churning of the Ocean, Vishnu as Koorma (or Kurma) offered his back as a pivot on which to rest the Mount Mandara, used as a churning stick by gods and demons.

Hod….Glory…(state of world in lifetime).Third incarnation of Vishnu : Varaha or the Boar incarnation of Vishnu : he killed the demon Hiranyaksha, recovered the stolen Veda’s and released the Earth from the bottom of the ocean.

Netzach….Endurance…(MulaDhara: base/root chakra : eternal home of Ganesha)Fourth incarnation of Vishnu : Narasingha or the Lion incarnation  : as a creature who was half-lion and half-man, Vishnu killed the demon Hiranyashasipu, brother of Niranyaksha, who had gained the boon of immunity from attacks by man, beast or god.

Tiferet….beauty…(the sacral chakra involved in creative process)Fifth incarnation of Vishnu : Vamana or the Dwarf incarnation  : he killed the demon Bali, who had gained dominion over the Earth and had chased the gods from the heavens. (he dis a trick, asked for 3 feet land…expanded and put one leg in heaven, one o on earth and asked where to put the third foot. Bali having realized that this is no ordinary entity and has come to put a check to his vanity, surrendered and asked the lord to place it on his head and thus reached salvation.)

Gevurah…Strength…(Solar Plexus chakra : seat of ego/goals)Sixth incarnation of Vishnu : Parasurama : he killed the King Kartavirya, who had stolen the holy cow Kamadhenu, which could grant all desires.(he also single handedly vanquished the Kshatriya clan who were causing havoc and injustice to others)

Chesed….Loving kindness….(Heart chakra conquers without fighting, using love)Seventh incarnation of Vishnu : Ram : he killed the demon King Ravana, who had abducted Sita. More on Ram can be read on the Ramayana page.(he was called a purushotam which means one who posses all the good qualities such as love, kindness, justice, obedience, infidelity.)

Binah…Understanding…(Throat chakra used to reveal the law in full clarity for eternity)Eight  incarnation of Vishnu : Krishna :  Gave the greatest mind game of mahabharata and delivered the song of the gods- Bhagvat Geeta

Chochma…Wisdom…..(Third eye chakra to set the path for the 7th and be firm in not sliding down)Ninth incarnation of Vishnu : Buddha : Vishnu incarnated to remove suffering from the world.  (He understood the nature of reality and got enlightened or awakened.)

Keter….Crown…..(crown chakra : personal identification with the infinite, oneness with God peace wisdom)Tenth Incarnation of Vishnu : Kalki : still to come at the end of the Kaliyuga or the present age of decline, when Vishnu will appear in person on Earth, seated on a white horse, Kalki, which is his tenth incarnation. (i believe he has already taken birth, and the white horse is purity that he is riding and the lightening of Truth and thought is all that is required to unleash the next cycle of 10 since there is no universe outside our mind and if one rationalizes and encompasses the universe and dissolves in the eternal cycle of BigBang and BlackHole then he is bound to be in touch with the eternal source whose rise in entropy emanates the eternal cycle. The source or GOD or AHAM BRAHMASVI has no greater pleasure in his solitude than the love of his creation and he reciprocated by unleashing the golden age which is nothing but the reflection of the surrender of the human since the LORD has no qualities, he is benign. He was he is and he always will be. He is an enigma, all but nothing. Such a person need not be known to the universe till the end since all he is doing is refining himself- a hologram of the universe- by just being in the here and now.)

AMAZING isnt it with the mirror found above the DAS(10) Avatars of Indian Hinduism. Each avatars life recorded and narrated as stories to children.

    Hi,
You didn’t mention the 8th incarnation. why so?

And I have one doubt, Parusuram is from the era before Ram, then how come he is mentioned in mahabharatha, and i have heard that there can be only one incarnation of vishnu at a time ?

    • ramsaik says:

My apology about the 8th ONE. I have corrected it.

Yes that has been one of the most puzzling thing to comprehend since he was before Rama the 7th but in the Mahabharata, Parashurama was the instructor of the warrior Karna (qoute Wikipe)
Thus he is shown to span 2 other lifes of avatars after him since Rama too broke the bow of Shiva gifted to the father of Sita by Parashurama.

I will ponder on it.. do let me know if u find anything

I came across this in christian literature:
Before the flood(Noah Arc-2340 B.C), life spans were almost 1,000 years though it drastically got reduced to less than 100 years after the flood.

    hey man, chk this link:

    got it !

The ages see a gradual decline of dharma, wisdom, knowledge, intellectual capability, life span, emotional and physical strength.

Satya Yuga:- Virtue reigns supreme. Human stature was 21 cubits. Average human lifespan was 100,000 years.
Treta Yuga: – There was 3 quarter virtue & 1 quarter sin. Normal human stature was 14 cubits. Average human lifespan was 10,000 years.
Dwapar Yuga: – There was 1 half virtue & 1 half sin. Normal human stature was 7 cubits. Average human lifespan was 1000 years.
Kali Yuga: – There was 1 quarter virtue & 3 quarter sin. Normal human stature was 3.5 cubits. Average human lifespan will be 100 years. Towards the end of the Yuga this will come down to 20 years.
