Any prediction is a future state of the present, which is the expression of the cumulative past. The sole purpose of a prediction is to bring into ones awareness of a distant event. Lots of cultures insist on redemption to ward off the unwanted event. This brings into the subject a sense of having evaded an unpleasant event which reflects in the present such that the path is itself altered. In fact one doesn’t need any of the rituals & punishment since awareness alone with an objective mind does away with the present path for a more fruitful future. Yes karma can be BEATEN.

Karma is the principle of action-reaction of the universe and is cyclic.The wheel of karma does not rest till all the seeds of action do not dissolve. Desire is the emotive force that rules the vagabond mind in its jest for more. This is the root of karma and it is called Samsara out of which comes samskara-the belief system or ones construct.
Life is so simple that if one is courageous enough to live it, mind can be abandoned. And to abandon the mind and to live spontaneously is what I call sannyas.
