A saint asked his disciples, ‘Why do we shout in anger? Why do people
shout at each other when they are upset?’
Disciples thought for a while, one of them said, ‘Because we lose our
calm, we shout for that.’
‘But, why to shout when the other person is just next to you?’ asked
the saint. ‘Isn’t it possible to speak to him or her with a soft
voice? Why do you shout at a person when you’re angry?’
Disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the saint.
Finally he explained, ‘When two people are angry at each other, their
hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be
able to hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will
have to shout to hear each other through that great distance.’
Then the saint asked, ‘What happens when two people fall in love? They
don’t shout at each other but talk softly, why? Because their hearts
are very close. The distance between them is very small…’
The saint continued, ‘When they love each other even more, what
happens? They do not speak, only whisper and they get even closer to
each other in their love. Finally they even need not whisper, they
only look at each other and that’s all. That is how close two people
are when they love each other.
R: Morning, why is it that i dont feel the peace or bliss always and am not as serene as you?
B: That is coz you are already an Arihant.
R: Then why I dont have the presence of an Arihant?
B: It is due to the role you sought for yourself and it is no mean task, even the Gods refrain from attempting such an endeavour even if they are moved by the state of mankind. You choose to take the Fact of ‘aham Brahmasvi’ to the extreme resolution and the correct one. Instead of seeking God or Nirvana, you choose to mirror the universe in your self which includes all the stratas of manifestation in the universe, mirrored in you as body, mind and spirit. You negated nothing in existance, what can be more than this in terms of acceptance. And since the universe around you is not in harmony and there is a continuous unrest, how can you expect anything otherwise in your own experience. But the best thing about your stance is that you have the capacity to resolve the universal unrest in your own body and mind. A person with total acceptance can convert the negetivity to positivity. This can only be acheived by a state of both attachment and detachment in the moment. This is done by the unique quality of two minds that you posses and have cultivated. Even the Arihants cant acheive this since they live in an detached state. Change is possible only through involvement. A pure hearts invovement is but bound to produce purity and positivity.
R: I have no ambitions, i am like a kite in the wind. No complaints but people around me have expectations or desires. How can I do justice to them?
B: you gave the answer yourself. You are like a kite but the string is in the hands of people around you. You are both free and bound. You are free to move with the winds of current times and change. If the people having expectations dont manage the string to direct you to their heights and desires then it is their inefectiveness not your failure. It is akin to the idiom- It is not how long one prays but the intensity that matters. Coz’ it is intent and belief that materialize ones desire. In fact you being desireless and fearless with an ego whose size depends on collective ego of people around you have always been placed in the company of such beings whose thoughts ensure that you are kept in motion (as your motivation is very poor) and fulfill the task you assigned to yourself in this life-raise the collective consciousness. Do it well (in your case live life without coloured glasses) and rest assured that whether you get any recognition or not, you would have affected a change in the collective consciousness. There will be others too who will join you in this mission to be in the here and now.
